Meet Owen McCormick, recipient of a $2,000 ACE Scholarship, and future problem-solver in the world of engineering. A senior at Spring-Ford High School in Royersford, PA, Owen has spent all four years of high school participating in the ACE Mentor Program, where he gained hands-on insight into design and construction from real professionals. This fall, he’s headed to the University of Maryland to study Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering, with a mission to apply technical knowledge and creativity to develop solutions that benefit society.
“The ACE Mentor Program provided me with a real-world, practical understanding of the design and construction industry and helped solidify my decision to pursue a degree in engineering,” Owen shares. Whether he’s exploring technical challenges, working part-time at Wegmans (2 years strong!), or holding a live alligator on a recent trip to Florida 🐊 — Owen brings focus, curiosity, and drive to everything he does. We’re excited to see him soar!
